Paul B. Hall

Earlier this year, Johnson County Schools announced a partnership with Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center that brought the Telehealth program to schools throughout the district. During school hours, students, faculty, and staff can receive diagnoses and treatment from Kelley Cochran, PA-C or Jennifer Martin, APRN via video chat. Working together with the school nurse, the medical professional can identify common ailments such as cold, strep throat, ear infection, and pink eye and send an electronic prescription to the client's preferred pharmacy. While the client's insurance will cover the cost of medication, the program will save the time and money usually spent on doctor's visits and transportation, and parents won't have to leave work. In addition to this fast and easy process, PBHRMC will be providing free flu shots to faculty members and free sports physicals for student athletes. In the short time Telehealth has been available, multiple students from each school have been positively impacted by these services. Contact your child's school nurse for more details.
