Cantrell to Speak at International Literacy Conference

Mr. Matt Cantrell was recently selected as a research presenter for a prestigious international literacy conference held in Columbus, Ohio. At the annual Conference of the International Literacy Association to be held in October, Cantrell will present research on secondary English teacher expertise.  This highly competitive conference has only a 30 % acceptance rate, and Mr. Cantrell, who will finish his doctorate through Murray State this May, was one of the select few who made the cut. Principal Noel Crum stated, “It just shows the level of educators we have here at JCHS when you see people like Mr. Cantrell being promoted to table leader at the AP Literature national reading and then being chosen to present at an international conference. It is astounding the talent we have here.” We at JCHS are honored to have one of Johnson County's own selected. Congratulations!
