Friday, November 15th Football teams including K-2 Flag Football will be recognized at the District Championship at JCHS. Game time is 7:30pm. Players wearing uniform will be admitted at the gate in front of the football locker room entrance and recognized at half time.

K-2 Flag Football will be having practice today, Wednesday, September 18 at 5:00 pm. The next game will be Monday, September 23 at 5:30 pm. NOTE: An additional set of games have been added to the schedule before playoffs on Thursday, September 26. Flag play at 5:30 & 6:30.
Due to parent teacher conferences tomorrow afternoon, our first Eaglette practice will be rescheduled to Friday, September 13, from 3:00 to 4:00. Central Elementary is so excited about the installation of our new playground equipment. Installation will begin Monday thanks to receiving a $44,000 grant from the Steele-Reese Foundation to make our school the best it can be for our awesome students.

We would LOVE to have 100% participation since this is the only fundraiser we have planned this school year. Permission forms for Jackie’s Gymnastics went home with interested students today. Classes will be every Thursday school is in session beginning Aug 22nd. There is a one time registration fee of $20 at the first class. Each class is $10. Therefore, only the first class will be $30. If you have questions about gymnastics please contact Belinda in the Family Resource Center.

Central Elementary 3rd grade supply list. Due to limited desk space, students will only have space for his/her 3 ring binder, pencil pouch or box with crayons, glue sticks, and scissors. The classroom teacher will store the remaining items above and distribute as needed. Also please keep in mind that student desks are very small, so trapper keepers and large binders will not fit.

The Johnson County Schools Local Planning Committee will conduct the 2nd PUBLIC FORUM on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 at 5:30 pm at the Johnson County Board of Education Central Office. The Public Forum will be an informal gathering to obtain public opinion regarding future district facility priorities. The Local Planning Committee will meet immediately following adjournment of the Public Forum.
Central Elementary Grades 3 – 6 are excited to begin testing next week (May 6 – 10, 2019)!!!!! Our students have worked very hard this year and are looking forward to showing what they know!!!!! We would like to remind you of a few test taking strategies. • First, please have your child get in bed early each night so that he/she gets a good night’s rest. • Next, a good breakfast is a must! Please be sure students are at school early each day to eat a hot breakfast in our cafeteria or have a hot breakfast at home before coming to school. • Also, we need all students to be on time each day. We must follow a strict schedule and will be beginning promptly each morning. • Lastly, encourage your child to do his/her best. We have amazing students at CES and are confident they will do great!!!!!! Thank you for all that you do!
