In a significant collaborative effort, the Johnson County School District and Pike Independent jointly hosted the latest meeting for the Full-Service Community Schools Project EMPOWER, BJA STOP, and COPS grants. This gathering showcased the powerful partnership between the two districts and their shared commitment to enhancing educational and community service.

Project Director Clabe Slone led the session, detailing critical updates on cost-sharing, top activities, sessions, and attendance figures. This highlighted the practical impact and progress of the projects across both districts.

Jason Gibson, Technical Assistant Coach, offered a concise summary of recent school inventory visits, setting the stage for future monthly check-ins. His insights provided a clear perspective on the ongoing collaborative efforts and the roadmap ahead.

Community School Coordinators from both Johnson County and Pike Independent shared updates, underscoring the importance of joint efforts and mutual learning. Their reports reflected the diverse initiatives and strategies being implemented in both districts, fostering a shared space for innovation and improvement.

A highlight of the meeting was the facilitation of a Kagan strategy session by Project Director Clabe Slone, focusing on "Turn the Curve Thinking." This interactive segment provided a platform for participants from both districts to practice and exchange ideas on this transformative approach to problem-solving.
