It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Mr. William Fraley, a dedicated member of the Johnson County Schools Board of Education and a dear friend to so many.

William's commitment to the children of Johnson County was unwavering. He believed in each and every student, and his actions reflected that belief. Beyond his 12 years of distinguished service on the Board of Education, William was deeply involved in our community. He dedicated countless years to youth sports and was a driving force in Buddy Ball, shaping the lives of young athletes and instilling in them the values of teamwork and perseverance. His involvement with PTO and booster organizations further demonstrated his commitment to supporting our schools and ensuring that every child had the resources they needed to succeed.

William fought tirelessly for each and every child in our school system, and he was a wonderful human being.  William's legacy is one of service, dedication, and a profound love for our children. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Flags across our school district will remain at half staff until after William is laid to rest.
