The Johnson County School District celebrates Porter Elementary, a proud Leader in Me School on a mission to become a Leader in Me Legacy School, for showcasing the very best of student leadership. Porter students truly demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose and heart.
Students shared their leadership notebooks, took pride in their schoolwide jobs, celebrated progress on WIGs, and highlighted class and school scoreboards—all while leading service learning projects that are making a real difference in their community.
The Wax Museum brought history to life, and the choir’s performance was nothing short of spectacular!
With this year’s Little Mermaid theme, students discovered the power of finding their voice. When they do, they soar like Golden Eagles, ready to lead, inspire, and create a legacy of excellence across Johnson County Schools.
