Central Elementary students welcomed more than 250 guests on Thursday evening for their leadership event, Everyone Has Genius, and annual Poetry Festival. This student-led celebration showcased demonstrations and presentations from every grade level—including Head Start!
Students proudly shared their creative and academic genius through disguised pumpkins, animal habitat dioramas, symmetry and Mondrian art, a live wax museum, leadership notebooks, and science projects. Guests also enjoyed student-created works such as jewelry, broken toy art, picture books, mathematical geo-sculptures, and dream home designs.
During the Poetry Festival that followed, the audience was captivated as students sang and eloquently recited poetry by some of the greats.
