The Johnson County Board of Education met on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, and the meeting was filled with celebrations honoring students, staff, and community members!
Superintendent Thom Cochran recognized Myra Hopson for her outstanding years of service and for always going above and beyond to support students.
Elementary Champions from across the district were also celebrated for the 2025–2026 school year, highlighting the hard work and accomplishments of our students.
Senior Student Board Representative Kyleigh Sparks was recognized for her leadership and contributions to the Board of Education throughout the year.
Outstanding community leaders were also honored for their continued support of Special Olympics and their commitment to supporting students and families across our community.
