Vote Daily for Ava Claire O'Bryan in the Star-Spangled Sing-Off!

WSAZ News, along with other Gray Media television stations across the country, is hosting the Star-Spangled Sing-Off, a nationwide vocal competition celebrating America's 250th birthday. Contestants submitted solo, a cappella performances of the U.S. National Anthem, and we're proud to share that Ava Claire O'Bryan was selected as a finalist from hundreds of entries nationwide! Please help us spread the word by sharing with your family and friends!

Ava, an 18-year-old member of the Johnson Central High School Class of 2026, has already achieved remarkable success through her vocal talents. Her accomplishments include:

  • Representing Johnson County Schools on the national stage by performing at the National BARR Conference in Palm Springs, California

  • Being selected as the National Female Free Will Baptist Vocalist and touring with the Youth Evangelist Team

  • Serving as a five-year member of the Billie Jean Osborne Kentucky Opry Jr. Pros

  • Participating in the JCHS Honor Band and Stage Band throughout high school

  • Performing at numerous events across the state of Kentucky

The winner of the Star-Spangled Sing-Off will receive a professional recording opportunity and an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville, Tennessee!
