Johnson Central High School

The JCHS Marching Band, comprised of Johnson Central HS and Johnson County Middle School students, competed in the Whirlwind of Music Marching Band Festival in West Virginia on Saturday.  The Golden Eagles Band under the direction of Mr. Lawrence Lipinski and Color Guard Instructor, Stephanie McCarty, placed 2^nd in Class D (up to 30 band members) in Music Performance, Music Effect, and Color Guard and placed 3^rd overall in the combined score of Music Performance, Marching, and General Effect.  In Division 1 (up to 50 band members), the JCHS Band took 3^rd place in General Effect.  The band’s next competition will be October 16^th at the Marshall University Tri-State Championships Competition.
