BARR

Johnson Central has been named an inaugural National School of Excellence by BARR Center. BARR (Building Assets and Reducing Risks) is a nationwide program aimed at increasing positive outcomes for freshmen students. For the first time, the national BARR Center honored six schools as being a "school of excellence" based on criteria of continuous quality and fidelity of the implementation of the program. Additionally, BARR staff visits schools to observe community support and student engagement. Recently, BARR brought a camera crew to interview students and staff and to capture our school culture. Tomorrow that video will be debuted publicly at the National BARR Conference in Palm Springs, California and shared with our community.

We would like to thank all the teachers, administrators, students, and community members that made this possible.
