Dear Greyhound Families,
We are sharing the following research opportunity for families with children ages 3-5.

A research group at Harvard University is conducting a study about how everyday storytelling and book reading support young children’s language development. Families who choose to participate will complete a short caregiver survey and record brief videos of shared storybook reading and storytelling activities at home.

Participation involves:

A short parent survey (10 minutes)
Recording brief videos of reading a book and telling stories with your child
Approximately 20-30 minutes total
Families who participate will receive:

$25 compensation
A children’s book as a thank you!

Attention Families who's students are registered for Flat Gap Summer School: Doors Open at 7:15 am. Classes begin at 8:00. In the afternoon, parent pick up will be at 2:00 at the front office.

Attention Parents of Incoming 4th Graders!

FREE SUMMER MEAL PICKUP Johnson County School District May 27, 2026 Free Summer Meal Pickup Any child age 1 through 18 qualifies regardless of income. Enrollment in Johnson County Schools is not necessary to participate in the program. ONE SIGNUP FORM PER CHILD PARTICIPANT IS REQUIRED. Each child signed up will be provided 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for pickup from your chosen location. Only parents/guardians may pick up meals for children who are not present at the meal pick up. If a child is not signed up for the program, the child must be present at their first meal pickup to receive their meals. Buses will deliver meals once per week to the chosen location. If a change in pickup location is needed, please complete this form again with the updated location. 🚨🚨Important Announcement!!! Due to an improvement in the weather forecast, we are planning to continue with our outdoor waterslide inflatables on Thursday (Head Start-2nd) and Friday (3rd-6th). Please send sunblock, towel, and extra clothes with your child. If they choose to wear a 2 piece swim suit, they will need to wear a tshirt over it. Young men also should wear a shirt with their swimming trunks. We are looking forward to a fun filled last 2 days of school! 🎉
