Congratulations to these Postsecondary Ready Seniors! The Kentucky Department of Education defines postsecondary readiness as "the attainment of the necessary knowledge, skills, and dispositions for a student to successfully transition to the next level of his or her educational career". We are so very proud to publish this list of seniors who meet these requirements. If you have any questions about your or your child's postsecondary readiness status, please contact Ms. Amanda Ratliff.

Absence excuses from August 10 until now must be turned in to our attendance clerk, Laura Ratliff, by this Friday. Mrs. Ratliff is in the lobby outside the main office daily from 8am until 8:30am to collect excuse slips. She is in room 5 during 1-7th periods to accept excuses. Excuse slips can also be faxed to 606-789-2547 or emailed to laura.ratliff@johnson.kyschools.us. Excuses for absences between August 10 until now cannot be turned in after this Friday as the attendance alteration window will close. So check your attendance in Campus Portal to make sure you don't have any unexcused absences. 63 unexcused absence periods or more in a semester results in suspension of your permit or license.

A "college ready" status earns our seniors a pink cord to wear at graduation. The following students have earned this honor by achieving a qualifying score on their Reading/English/Writing ACT or KYOTE as well as a qualifying score on their Math ACT or KYOTE. We are so proud that no matter what path they may choose, these Eagles are ready for anything! If you have questions about your college ready status, feel free to contact Ms. Amanda Ratliff.

Come out to the homecoming game tonight to see a first look at the EagleX Solar Team's rolling chassis for the solar car we are building! Engineering, art, and especially welding students have been hard at work making our plans for a fully aluminum frame for this car a reality. This car is made possible because of our partnership with UK, our financial sponsors, and our community sponsors.

Human body’s systems scholars are comparing how tall their long bones dictate they will be to how tall they actually are! Our class learned that their femur length is the most accurate predictor of their actual height.
