Mrs. Banks’ kindergarten students reviewed our letters of the week by coloring their very own ABC hats and then playing 4 Corners to find and match the correct letters with their hats. Lots of learning, movement, and smiles along the way! ✏️🔤
Through ongoing communication with Carissa’s parents, and in honoring their wishes for their daughter, the Johnson County School District asks our entire community to unite in support of her family.
We invite all students, staff, and community members to wear pink on Monday, August 17. Pink was Carissa’s favorite color, and wearing it together will serve as a symbol of our shared love, unity, and support.
Per her parents' wishes, all district schools—including Johnson County Middle School—will be in session on Monday. District flags will fly at half-staff in Carissa’s honor, and counselors and school psychologists will continue to be available in our schools to support our students and staff.
Please continue to keep Carissa’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time.

It's cross country time!!! Let's dust off our tennis shoes and start pounding the lake trail! Practice will begin Monday, August 10th at the lake. Bring plenty of water for your runner. Can't wait to see all your smiling faces!!!
(Please have a physical completed for your child. Our first race is at the end of this month, so we need to cover a lot of ground!!)

Students will receive three behavior strikes. Upon receiving a third strike, students will not be permitted to participate in PAWS activities for the remainder of the school year.

Empower Day is tomorrow, Thursday, July 23!
Join us for a fun day of meeting your teachers, exploring the school, and getting a feel for what a real school day is like.
Registration will be from 8:30–9:00 a.m., and the day will run from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Parents, please plan to attend a parent meeting at 9:00 a.m. where we’ll share important information about the upcoming school year.

To make lunch as quick and convenient as possible, don't forget to preorder your lunch before the event.
