
Mark your calendars for the first Family Fun Night of the School Year! Porter Family Resource Center is bringing Magician/Comedian Joey Stepp to Porter Elementary on Thursday August 31st. The show starts at 6pm and will last 30-45 minutes. Joey is a native of Martin County and played Football for Marshall University. This is a free event offered to families!!!

The University of Louisville Autism Training Center has released this FREE educational series for parents of children with Autism. There are two modules with 10 lessons per module. These lessons are self-paced, online learning module providing parents with tools and training to more effectively teach their child with autism and other related neurodevelopmental disabilities functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. Congratulations Porter Elementary on receiving the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program! This program will provide after school programming for the next 5 years!
Porter Elementary's PAWS after school program will provide daily homework help, academic support, enrichment activities, and transportation. Programming begins Wednesday, August 30th 3:00-5:30 p.m.

Family Resource Center Clothing closet clean out! Stop by tomorrow from 10am -2pm in Porter Elementary Cafeteria and get what you want/need for back to school. We have clothes, shoes, hygiene items and school supplies.
