After School Reminders
⚠️ Designated pick up times are at 4:00pm (after academic support) and 5:00pm (after enrichment activities).
⚠️ These times help reduce interruptions and allow students to fully participate in activities.
⚠️ Last minutes changes are hard to accommodate- if your child is changing from a bus to a pick up please let us know as soon as possible.

Mrs. Vanhoose's 4th grade Social Studies classes worked on an interactive Wheel of Information on map skills today. Jase Sparks taught us a trick to remembering Cardinal Directions on a Compass Rose.
Mrs. Harless' 5th grade social studies classes worked in Kagan groups to construct Native American houses. They could only use the resources they were provided.

Mrs. VanHooses 4th grade math classes practiced place value today. They loved practicing their skills and having some friendly competition amongst themselves. Everyday is a great day to be an Eagle! 🦅
Mrs. Miller's 5th grade LA class presents their "All About Me" items to the class. To finish the class they wrote an essay on the importance of each item.
Mrs. Miller's 6th grade LA class uses Kagan Strategy -Continuous Round Robin for Spelling Analogies.
Students practiced recognizing and correcting shifts in verb tense using Kagan structure "Quiz-Quiz-Trade" during Mrs. Holbrook's Language Arts class today.

Mrs. Penix and Mrs. Vanhoose's 4th grade classes teamed up to complete a Single RoundRobin Kagan Strategy. During this classbuilding activity, they were given 1 index card and a pair of scissors to figure out how to get their head through the index card.They had some great ideas!
What a GREAT day at CES! Started my morning making someone's day a little brighter-shining my light💡Gym classes listened to rules, practiced warm-up games and played with balloons. I was even twining with one of my students today! Everyday is a GREAT day to be an Eagle!💛🦅💛
So much to learn at Empower Academy.
Empower Academy at CES was a huge success! Our Kindergarten students had an active day of learning. They also enjoyed gym class and a tasty breakfast and lunch. Our parents were treated with a lot of great information and a school tour by our student lighthouse team. A special thanks goes out to our FRYSC and ARH for supporting our Empower Academy!
