Countdown to the CES Olympics has started. All staff and students are very excited to celebrate this wonderful school year with some fun competition. We appreciate our PTO and FRYSC for organizing such a great event.

Members of the STLP team read a book that they wrote and illustrated about bullying to various classes throughout the school.

Mrs. Bryant's reading group loved having Aubrey Salyers, member of the STLP CHANCE team, come read to our Kindergarten class today! She was amazing with the students and they all loved the book!

Come show your support for our STLP teams.

Join CES in congratulating Tori Sexton for her award as runner-up in the fiscal court anti-litter art contest. Way to go!

A few of Mrs. Vanhoose's former 2nd graders that are on the STLP CHANCE team visited today to read a book about mindfulness and how to meditate and cope with stress by breathing or using other senses. This is part of their project of spreading coping strategies to help children and adults deal with daily stress.

Mrs. Vanhoose's 2nd graders are working on measurement this week. They estimated the length of Mr. Chapman's school bus. After estimating the length of the bus, they took the meter stick and measured to check their estimates.

STLP competition team reading about mindfulness and meditation with Mrs. White's 1st grade.

Mrs. McKenzie's class practiced adding and subtracting multiples of ten today by doing a number walk.

These STLP state competition team members read a book about mindfulness to Mrs. McKenzie's first grade class. They taught them some techniques and ways to cope with stress.

These students have enjoyed celebrating successes today. Several have spent their LiveSchool points on pizza parties and ice cream parties. One is the lucky attendance winner of the week after being picked from all students who did not miss a day all week.

CES leaders do their school-wide job with pride. They are a huge help to Mrs. Owens at keeping LiveSchool points displayed.
