Mrs. Vanhoose's 2nd graders were excited to start cursive handwriting today.


One of our lead teachers, Mrs. Duncan, models a Kagan structure with Mrs. Vickers first grade.
Mrs. Vanhoose's students wrote and delivered friendly letters to Mr. Conley telling him what they liked about our school.

Mrs. Vickers’ class had a great day writing stories and trying green eggs and ham.






Kindergarten had a special guest read to them today. Thank you, JCHS junior, Madelyn Burchett.


Our 6th graders did an amazing job reading to Kindergarten and 1st graders. Way to go!







Students work with Mrs. Wright to improve their writing skills.


Students in Mrs. Miller's Language Arts class are working diligently on their on-demand writing. The students finished the class by conferencing with one another to improve each writing piece.




Mrs. Vanhoose's class celebrated meeting their weekly iReady Wigs with a Frosty from Wendy's.









Mrs. VanHoose's class finished their week of learning about Habit 5 with a game of emotion charades. They learned to listen with their eyes and heart as well as with their ears.



House Wars was a little different today, but it didn't matter, we still had a great day! Every day is a great day to be an EAGLE!💛🦅💛










Today, Mrs. Vanhooses class learned of different listening roadblocks that keep us from being active listeners. We are working on Habit 7:Seek first to understand then to be understood.

Mrs.Vanhoose's second grade discussed Habit 5 Seek first to understand, then to be understood today. They used Jenga to learn that if we interrupt, blurt out, and don't wait patiently to be called on while Mrs. Vanhoose is teaching that we won't learn and that as a class we will not stand tall, but instead we will fall.






Ms. Ratliff's class did a digital math and language arts escape room activity today. #DLDay


In Language Arts Lab, students participated in a digital Nearpod lesson on Folktales and Tall Tales. #DLDay
