
Mrs. Vanhoose’s 2nd grade class has been learning about contractions. Today, they scrubbed in and became surgeons to complete contraction surgery. They took words apart, took letters out, put the words back together, and glued them in their surgery books!





Mrs. Crace keeps our little Eagles engaged and active with new P.E. stations.


Mrs. Holbrook’s class completed an interactive Nearpod lesson to learn about the history of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the observance of upcoming holiday.




Mrs. McKenzie’s class worked hard to earn a reward for good behavior. Their prize? Flashlight Friday!!!





Ms. Younce’s class had a great time learning vocabulary and analyzing and comparing different reading selections to answer their weekly essential question, “How are children around the world different?” this week.





CES 6th graders enjoyed watching Mr. Cochran read live. They are excited about working on their one word.

We've had a wonderful day here at CES! Students in Mrs. Miller's 5/6th LA have been discovering the meaning of Christmas. The "Homecoming" takes place on Christmas Eve 1933, the Waltons prepare for the holiday in rural Jefferson County,Virginia on Walton's Mountain. Students constructed story elements based on the traditional story.



We all made the nice list! Well, most of us did.
