Highland Choir members will be performing December 17th at 5:00 in the gym at Highland. The performance will be part of Appalachian Community Night. Students need to be at the school by 4:45. We will meet in the library before the performance. There will be NO wait!! We will perform at 5:00. Students may wear the same outfit worn at the MAC. Each student will receive LiveSchool points for attending the performance. There will be several activities for the students to enjoy after they sing.

Mrs. Wright's 6th grade class took a minute to enjoy the snow today! 🤍💙❄️











Second grade students had data chats about their scores before beginning the iReady diagnostic.



Sixth grade students showed leadership skills by helping second graders with their animal research.

Our STLP team had an amazing day at District Competition! They were able to use KVEC rovers, 3D pens, create ornaments, and more. Congrats to our Minecraft Team; Zayden Ward, Isaiah Purvis, and Wyatt May; for placing 1st in the Middle School Division and to Paisley Slone for placing 1st in Manipulated Image Elementary Division. We are so proud of all of the hard work and student leadership that went into all of their projects. On to state competition!











5th grade had a magical time watching The Nutcracker ballet today at the Mountain Arts Center. The students also enjoyed a special breakfast treat! #5thgrade #memories

Mrs. Bevins' classroom had an amazing week of learning. We learned about Native Americans, turkeys, and Thanksgiving. We got to make butter, win the lunchroom belt, create teepees, create parade balloons, and perform a play about the book Turkey Trouble. It was a fun filled week of memories!
