✨❄️ January Habit Spotlight: Habit 6 – Synergize! ❄️✨

As we kick off the new year, we’re focusing on Habit 6: Synergize—Together Is Better! 🤝
Synergy means working together, valuing differences, and knowing that we can accomplish more as a team than we ever could alone.

Use Leader in Me language at home this month by encouraging your family to:
💡 Share ideas and listen to others’ perspectives.
🤗 Work together to solve problems and make decisions.
🌟 Celebrate teamwork and collaboration.

When we synergize, we create stronger families, classrooms, and communities. Let’s make January a month of teamwork and togetherness!

Before break our advanced English Language Arts students completed their semester culminating activity this week by participating in a mock debate. After reading Orson Scott Carde’s Ender’s Game students were divided into teams and asked to consider if Ender’s decisions were morally justified. Our students were invited to the Johnson County Judicial Center to present their case. Thank you to @Brett Butcher and the court house staff for their hospitality in sponsoring us.

✨🎄 December Habit Spotlight: Habit 5 – Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood! 🎄✨

This month we’re focusing on Habit 5, a powerful reminder that listening—truly listening—is one of the best gifts we can give each other. 💛

Encourage your family to use Leader in Me language at home:
👂 Listen with your eyes, ears, and heart.
💬 Make sure you really understand before you respond.
🤝 Show empathy, patience, and kindness in every conversation.

When we seek to understand first, we build stronger relationships and a more peaceful home and school community. 🌟

Let’s model Habit 5 all month long!
