Mr. Ross's class went to the Rec Center and got to see a special visitor today and the bikers from Cryptic Knights wished the students a Merry Christmas!

Shout out to 7th ELA on showing incredible growth on their mid year exams! Pictured below are Mrs. Preston's students completing a Blooket terms review. Students are now drafting their second writing piece of the year - the topic is Old-Time Appalachian Christmas traditions. Tomorrow our students will head to the Mountain Homeplace where they will complete their study of Appalachian culture and enjoy some ice skating fun! ⛸️🌲#JCMSStrong #Eagle4life

JCMS Christmas Spirit Week! Starts next week! 🎄🎅

Today Johnson County’s academic sixth graders competed in the KAAC Sixth Grade Showcase competition. Today they competed as Central Eagles, Flat Gap Greyhounds, Porter Panthers, Highland Wildcats, and W.R. Castle Tomcats.
This is the last time these students will compete against each in academics as members of their individual schools. After today, these students will compete as Johnson County Eagles.
We’d also like to thank our current middle school and high school students who came out to serve as officials during today’s events.

Mr. Ross’s class got in the Christmas spirit today by going to see Elf at the SIPP theater! The JCHS players did a wonderful job and our kids loved every minute of the show! Remember the best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear!

Mrs. Hall's Life Skills classes had a fun day in the kitchen.

Ms.Howard’s class worked hard in completing an escape room to see who took the janitors supplies.
This activity was great practice in working out one step equations!

Mrs Diana Reed with UK came to JCMS and discussed Chicken facts with the new Agriculture Classes being offered this year! Students looked at parts of a chicken egg and discussed its development.

Mrs. Patrick's Math 7B class worked collaboratively to complete a station maze word problem practice! #JCMSstrong #eagle4life

We are so thankful for a day full of food, fun and laughter!! Students and staff enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving lunch prepared by our awesome cooks and we ended the day with our talent show. Let's just say our "Eagles Have Talent!!"
