
WR Castle's Tiniest Tomcats had a big day meeting Randy the horse. This was part of an activity that promotes proactive behaviors toward yourself. These Tomcats had a blast!






The first graders at WRC just finished a unit in their Wonders Reading series that focused on community helpers. We would like to give a great big THANK YOU to some of our local helpers for volunteering their time to come speak with our little Tomcats!





Congratulations to our Students and Faculty on a job well done. Kentucky Summative Assessment scores have been posted and W.R. Castle has achieved Green (High) Status while increasing scores in Math, Reading, Social Studies, Writing, and School Climate. Way to GO TOMCATS!!!!


Callie and Audrey performed with Dance Etc at the KY Opry Jr Pro Halloween Show. They represented WR Castle well as they danced in the Monster Party!

For Red Ribbon Week, WRC got "Jiggy" with Remix Education. Students were informed how life can be fun without drugs... "Be kind and be drug free"

Day 1 Kagan Visit with Coach Elia--Teacher Leaders at WR Castle have implemented the Kagan Strategies in classrooms. Students and staff are having a blast!









WRC teachers participated in a Kagan strategy--think, pair, share.. They took turns sharing their favorite resources they use in their classrooms. Lots of great ideas were being discussed.





Magnetic Reading groups are a hit with our Tomcats! Students are making progress each week.







Mr. Eric Castle's 6th graders and Miss Drew Spriggs' classes are working hard in their math classes. Our 6th graders participated in a "Scoot" game to review previous math content, while 2nd grade worked on creating and interpreting data with bar graphs.

Mrs. Salyers' Kindergarten students work with playdoh to strengthen their fine motor skills and practice their high frequency words. Learning is so much fun!
