
The JCHS Concert Band participated in the Kentucky Music Educators Association Concert Band Festival at the University of Pikeville on March 11.
The band performed two concert selections, The Thunderer by John Philip Sousa and Our Kingsland Spring by Samuel Hazo.
The band also participated in the site reading category and received a composite rating of Distinguished. The highest rating awarded.
The JCHS Concert Band is under the direction of Mr. Steve Westfall.

Based on the recommendation of Governor Beshear and the Kentucky Department of Education, Johnson County Schools will be closed from Monday, March 16th-Friday, April 3rd. There will be scheduled NTI Days. A detailed plan will be posted soon.
