📢 After-School Pick-Up Reminder
As after-school programming begins today, please remember that designated pick-up times are 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
🕓 4:00 PM – End of Academic Support
🕔 5:00 PM – End of Programming
To help minimize disruptions and allow students to fully participate in academic support and enrichment activities, we ask that families please plan to pick up students during these designated times.

📣 Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) – Grades 3–5
FCA permission slips will be sent home today with students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.
Participation in FCA is completely voluntary and optional and requires written parent/guardian permission. Students are not required to be athletes to participate, and choosing whether or not to participate will have no effect on a student’s grades, school activities, services, or opportunities.
FCA meetings will include fellowship and a Biblical message and will be held:

We invite all students, staff, and community members to wear pink on Monday, August 17. Pink was Carissa’s favorite color, and wearing it together will serve as a symbol of our shared love, unity, and support.
Per her parents' wishes, all district schools—including Johnson County Middle School—will be in session on Monday. District flags will fly at half-staff in Carissa’s honor, and counselors and school psychologists will continue to be available in our schools to support our students and staff.
Please continue to keep Carissa’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time.

🌟 Leadership in Action! 🌟
We are so proud of our 4th grader, Ruby Anne Justice, for showing what it means to be a great leader! 💛🖤
During breakfast, Ruby Anne noticed our Kindergarteners, Blakely Williams and Bali Smith, could use a helping hand and stepped right in to assist them. She also helped the kindergarteners on the bus yesterday afternoon as well. Her kindness, responsibility, and willingness to help our younger Eagles are wonderful examples of leadership in action. 🦅
Way to go, Ruby Anne! Thank you for leading by example and showing our little Eagles how we Learn, Lead, and Live a Legacy! 🌟
🏈 K–1 FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION! 🏈
Johnson County Schools Youth Flag Football League registration is now open for our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students!
📄 Registration forms should be returned to the CES Main Office by Tuesday, August 11th.
A few important details:
* 🏈 This is FLAG FOOTBALL for grades K–1
* 📅 Games will be played once per week on Tuesday evenings
* ⏰ Games begin at 5:30 PM
* 📍 Games will be played at Highland Elementary
* 👕 Each player will receive a team T-shirt
* 📞 Coaches will contact families with information about the first practice
