The Johnson county school district is closely monitoring the weather and road conditions. As of 9:30 pm, we are still on regular schedule. Roads are clear and safe. We will be back out very early in the morning to check for safety of travel. We are doing our best to be in school tomorrow, as it will be our students’ last day before Thanksgiving Break. We will post any changes, delays, or cancellations to our social media. Thank you and have a great evening- and go to bed kids, we plan to see you tomorrow!!!!

Mrs. Penix and Mrs. Vanhoose's fourth-grade Magnetic Reading groups engaged with a story about a teenager who invented a Braille machine using Legos. This sparked insightful discussions about Braille and the process through which students acquire Braille literacy. They extended an invitation to Mrs. Angela Hall, our district's visually impaired teacher, to demonstrate how students learn to read and write in Braille.

Central Elementary celebrated our veterans today. The 5th grade along with PTO, FRYSC, the kitchen, and the student lighthouse team sponsored a community service project for Veterans. They were served a delicious lunch and enjoyed a song from the 5th grade. We would like to thank all Veteran's for your service.

Meet our 24/25 Eaglette Dance Team! Amazing job this morning, my little cowgirls! We will dance again at JCHS for Panorama. I will let you know the time to be there as soon as I know. Thank you! (We did have a few girls jump in right before we danced, so if your child missed the group photo please don't worry. We will take others!) - Mrs. Smith https://youtube.com/shorts/5pFQbcrqBBk?feature=share
