Lego Club!!
Students in the Eagle Podcast club were hard at work during their first meeting. We laid out different segments for the podcast, wrote a script for each segment, and are ready to record! JCMS Horse Club got a visit from the Bluegrass Horseshoeing School today. These farriers and farrier students showed the club how and why they build shoes. They discussed the business and the process of becoming a farrier. They really loved the hands on demonstrations!

🦅 Eagle Enrichment is Off to a Soaring Start! 🦅
What an amazing first week we’ve had at JCMS in our after school Eagle Enrichment program! 🎉
We kicked things off strong by tackling missing assignments, finishing up makeup work, and practicing skills we needed a little extra help with — because academics always come first! 📚✏️ But once the work was done… the real fun began! 😄
🌟 During our enrichment time, we’ve:
🎨 Painted garden gnomes to brighten up our flower beds
🏃♂️ Got moving with outdoor play and games
🎯 Faced off in some epic Bingo battles
💡 Worked with circuits to create some seriously cool tech magic
This first week set the tone for a year full of growth, creativity, and fun. We can't wait to see what the rest of the semester brings!

Mrs. Staniford’s ELA classes kicked off their first, "We Will Write Wednesday" with some friendly competition! Students were randomly placed into writing teams and challenged to respond to a prompt, then write as much as they could within the set time limit.
This weekly tradition is designed to build stamina, creativity, and confidence in writing, while also making the process fun and engaging. Enjoy a few of the responses our Eagles came up with!

How much sleep are 7th graders really getting? Mrs. Meade and Mrs. Patrick's Math 7A students are working together to create a human dot plot and analyze our class's sleep patterns. This is what hands-on data analysis looks like! 📈 🦅 #JCMSstrong #GoEagles
