TRADITIONAL SNOW DAY – Tuesday, March 17

Due to hazardous road conditions across the district, Johnson County School District will be closed today, Tuesday, March 17. This will be a Traditional Snow Day.

No after school programming today, March 16th.

Hands-on learning in action! 🩹🚑🏥 In Mrs. Toole's Health Class, students practiced wrapping sprains and applying slings for ankles, wrists, shoulders, and elbows as part of our first aid unit. Building skills that could help them respond to real-life injuries.

Miss Jeffiers' Math 7B students utilized core day to refresh themselves on all of the content they've learned this year!🤩 Students were divided into 5 groups, and each group covered a unit that has been taught in class. The students created posters to teach their topic and presented them to their classmates! It was a great day full of review, strengthening public speaking skills, and most of all, teamwork! Go Eagles!🦅 💛

JCMS Formal is March 14, 2026 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Pam Goble will be there at 6:00 to start taking pictures (more information in the attached flyer). This is for JCMS in person students ONLY. Students may get permission to bring a non-JCMS student in 6th-9th grade from Mrs. Davis. Students need to be dropped off and picked up at the front door of JCMS. No walking off campus or to JCHS for any reason! We look forward to this year's Night in Central Park!

Life Skills classes wrap up their lessons about bullying and cyberbullying with community partner, Ms. Cindy from the Christian Appalachian Project, by creating posters to bring awareness to bullying.

We would like to congratulate Ian Mullins and Brantley Clatworthy who place at the Middle School State Wrestling Tournament last weekend!! We are proud of all those who competed and represented JCMS with pride!!
